MOCFA: Threads+Wares Benefit

On September 20th I will be participating in the Museum of Craft and Folk Art's Threads + Wares benefit. This will be my first event with the museum since they began to sell my pieces. I am very excited to take part in this! I hope everyone will come out to support the museum and all of the artists and designers. See you there!

MOCFA's announces a unique shopping experience, Threads + Wares. This new version of the traditional Art to Wear sale, held by the Museum for over 16 years, is a special shopping event to showcase the best of Bay Area one of a kind women and children fashions, jewelry, accessories and home furnishings.
This year's event also brings author Katye Terry for a special Book Signing + Demonstration from her latest book, Applique Your Way: 35 Pretty Projects and Patterns. Katye comes to the event courtesy of local business Chronicle Books, a partner in the event.
Benefiting the Museum of Craft and Folk Art, 30% of proceeds go directly to Museum programs. The Museum has evolved the mission of this year's event to include environmentally and ethically concious designers, who focus on using fair-trade practices, as well as reclaimed/repurposed raw materials, to create their unique works of wearable and usable art.
