New Materials New Designs

These last two months I've been experimenting with metalsmithing. I've dabbled in it before but always produced only one or two pieces at a time. Now, I've been creating at a much larger scale and trying out new materials and resins. It's become a new focus.

Taking a sheet of metal and turning it into a pair of earrings, or a necklace, is incredibly satisfying. The work is harder, sometimes it feels like your whole body is being put to use but the end result is all the more fulfilling. It's been exciting work and I can't wait to see what I'll be creating in another year from now.

These pieces are available at Collectors in Berkeley, Valley Art Gallery in Walnut Creek, Alina B in Blackhawk,  and Lafayette Art Gallery in Lafayette, SFO Airport Terminal 3.
