Artists’ Market to be held at the Lafayette Art Gallery Saturday, June 21, 2014, 11 AM – 5 PM
On Saturday June 21st, the Lafayette Art Gallery is hosting an Artists’ Market in the courtyard and fountain area next to the Gallery! The area will be transformed into an enticing outdoor marketplace reminiscent of Carmel, with a variety of artists exhibiting, demonstrating, and selling their artwork. Lafayette Art Gallery members will be there, and outside artists too – a total of 12-15 artists per show. On exhibit will be paintings, ceramics, photography, fine art, textiles, candles, garden art and much, much more. The artists will be demonstrating their technique at the Market, for you to watch, learn and enjoy. Warren Emmett Rice, photographer and show coordinator states, "At each market we will feature the art of as many as seven gallery artists, with additional invited artists participating. The public will have a wide range of work from which to choose."
Have lunch at Bo’s or the Artisan Bistro, both noted restaurants located in the Forge, then visit the outdoor marketplace and see your local artists display and demonstrate their art. So stop by the gallery, watch the artists at work, and browse their creations!!
The Lafayette Art Gallery was founded 15 years ago; all members are selected by jury, and the work shown is of remarkably high quality and represents a value unusual in today’s art scene.

They offer a wide selection of art for sale, many of which is made by local bay area artists. Since their opening back in 2011, Collector has expanded to the San Francisco International Airport, where travelers a-like can pick up meaningful art created by a local artist to remember their stay in our beautiful bay area.

A breath of fresh air.
San Diego. I first began visiting San Diego when my younger daughter, Alexandra, moved away to college. From that very first trip I fell in love. However, this past weekend I got to see the surrounding areas, Encinitas, and Coronado which I had not been to on any of my prior trips. We stayed in Coronado and spent the entire weekend exploring all that it has to offer. The weather was pleasant, and the views were stunning. To top it all off, my daughter took us to some amazing restaurants!
I am eagerly awaiting my next trip and to see more of what San Diego has to offer.

FLOWERS FLOWERS FLOWERS
Spring has Sprung at last, and just in time for Easter this upcoming weekend! I have been battling a cold for the last 10 days which has kept me from enjoying the beautiful weather we've been having. I was beginning to worry I wouldn't get well in time for the holidays. However my friends have sought after my health with these gorgeous gifts which I believe have been more beneficial to my health than any medicine the doctor prescribed.
Can you believe that all of these were picked from my friends gardens?! The variety of them perfectly reflects each one of my friends. I love them all very much.
